Mythbusters Cryogenic Freezer

Our friends at the Discovery Channel came through (as always) with another cool fun project to work on.

Our task….take show hosts Jamie and Adam’s heads and put them in scientific jars making the scene look like a grungy disgusting refrigerator.

We jumped on the case and immediately found an old grungy refrigerator and tons of cool electronics and props. The studio felt like the set of “pimp my fridge” as our set guys tore apart the fridge and rebuilt with custom lighting, shelves, signs and grunge. We also shot custom HDRI’s from inside the fridge so we could seamlessly incorporate CGI components.

In the end I think we can out with a really fun and compelling image. Who knows….maybe someday they really will freeze there heads!! I hope Jamie and Adam got a good laugh out of it because everyone here sure did!
